There are moments that remain impressed not only because of where they happen, but for the human intensity that runs through them.
The meeting that took place yesterday at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan was one of these.
Our delegation – made up of the President of ARTandCHARITY ODV Giovanni Tommasi, the Secretary Manuela Codazzi, the Mayor of Brunello Andrea Dall’Osto and the Head of the Municipal Technical Office Arch. Alessandra Broggi – was welcomed by the Superintendent Dr. Fortunato Ortombina in his office inside one of the most prestigious places of world culture.
From the very first moments, a surprisingly warm, simple, almost familiar atmosphere was created. An authentic simplicity that deeply struck us all: it is not a given that someone of such high institutional standing can combine authority, approachability, and genuine human interest so naturally.

It was a particularly meaningful moment when the Mayor handed Dr. Ortombina a book dedicated to Ghiringhelli. Watching him carefully leaf through the pages, linger on the photographs, and comment on certain passages, gave the real sense that memory and the present were in dialogue with each other.
The conversation then naturally shifted toward the future. The Municipality of Brunello is planning the creation of a Belvedere in a strategic location, a symbolic place overlooking the horizon, and among the most heartfelt ideas is to dedicate it to Antonio Ghiringhelli. A gesture meant to be not only commemorative, but generative: a sign capable of inspiring new generations.
This meeting represents for us the first link in a chain we wish to build over time. Not an isolated event, but the beginning of a collaboration that can grow with balance and vision, offering the Brunello community opportunities for cultural and human enrichment.
For ArtandCharity ODV, which was founded with the aim of promoting culture as a tool for inner growth, what happened yesterday at La Scala was not just an institutional meeting: it was a step forward toward a future where memory becomes a project and culture becomes a bridge.
And when you leave La Scala with this awareness in your heart, you realize that certain encounters do not just recount the past: they open new paths.
