Saturday, March 22, the Salone Estense of the Comune di Varese hosted an extraordinary event: the concert "Casanova: storia della mia vita". An evening full of emotions, where music served as a bridge between history, art, and passion, involving the audience in a unique journey through the life of the famous adventurer and writer Giacomo Casanova.
The event, carefully and dedicatedly organized by ARTandCHARITY O.D.V., featured highly talented artists capable of conveying the essence of a fascinating era with intensity and skill. The musical program alternated between classical and contemporary pieces, creating an evocative atmosphere that captured the attention and imagination of the spectators.
The evening was opened by the association's president, Giovanni Tommasi, who welcomed the large audience present in the hall. Immediately after, he gave the floor to Dr. Giorgio Paglini from Paglini Spa, who expressed his enthusiasm for supporting events that combine art, culture, and social causes. Following this, Dr. Andrea Avila, director of the Cooperativa Magari Domani Onlus, illustrated the importance of the project "Dopo di noi". Representatives of the institutions then spoke: Dr. Roberto Molinari, Councillor for Social Services of the Comune di Varese, Arch. Di Toro Michele, Provincial Councillor, and Andrea Dall’Osto, Mayor of Brunello, the municipality where our association is based.

After the institutional greetings, the floor was given to music. The violinist Alessandra Sonia Romano, accompanied by the String Quartet - composed of Andrea Bordonali (first violin), Gaspare Raule (second violin), Marco Cavallone (viola) and Davide Cervi (cello) – enchanted the audience with a masterful performance. Making the evening even more engaging was the voice of Elda Olivieri, voice actress and narrator, who read selected passages to tell the life of Giacomo Casanova, intertwining words and music in an exciting dialogue.
The setting of the Salone Estense, with its historical charm and extraordinary acoustics, contributed to making the experience even more evocative. The audience, numerous and enthusiastic, followed every moment of the concert with attention, letting themselves be carried away by the magic of the musical performances and the intense and captivating narration.
This concert is the first of three events dedicated to the three hundredth anniversary of Giacomo Casanova's birth. The program will continue with an art exhibition to be held from May 3 to 10 at the Libreria Ubik in Varese and will culminate on May 17 with the important event "NRDC-ITA NO Limits Day", which will take place at the Ugo Mara - NATO BASE barracks in Solbiate Olona (VA).
This initiative is part of the rich program of events promoted by ARTandCHARITY O.D.V., always committed to combining art, culture, and solidarity. The concert "Casanova: storia della mia vita" was not only an opportunity to enjoy a high-level performance but also a chance to support the association's charitable projects.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all those who made this wonderful evening possible: the artists, the audience, and the volunteers who, with their commitment, contribute to keeping the mission of ARTandCHARITY O.D.V. alive. We will continue to work with passion to offer events that unite art, culture, and solidarity, creating moments of sharing and growth for our community.
