"300 years of charm": an opening to remember

With significant public participation, the exhibition “Giacomo Casanova: 300 Years of Charm” was inaugurated, an artistic and cultural event that already achieved great success on the day of the Vernissage. A choral tribute to the enigmatic and fascinating figure of Giacomo Casanova, interpreted through the works of artists from various regions of Italy.

The attendees were welcomed by the President of ARTandCHARITY O.D.V., Giovanni Tommasi, who conveyed the greetings and thanks of the curator Manuela Codazzi, unable to attend the inauguration. The President expressed deep gratitude to the artists Gianni Landonio & Rosanna Baldari, Daniela Biella, Eva Cervellino, Claudia Curti, Paul Albert Dari, Adelia De Padova, Alessia Ranghetti, Giovanni Tommasi, Vignati Riccardo, guest artist Silvio Monti. All the artists enthusiastically accepted the challenge of depicting such an eclectic and charismatic character as Casanova, capturing his many facets with different styles and languages.

After the introductory speech, the President handed over the floor to two prominent institutional guests: Romana Dell’Erba, Regional Councilor, and Michele Di Toro, in the dual role of Municipal and Provincial Councilor, who extended their greetings and emphasized the social and cultural value of the initiative.

A highly anticipated moment of the evening was the speech by the guest of honor, the artist Silvio Monti, who captivated the audience with the story and explanation of his work “L’erotisme du passé,” imbued with mystery, symbolism, and refined irony.

To beautifully conclude the evening, a high-quality refreshment was offered by La Cucina di Altamura of Varese, which delighted the guests with genuine flavors and a warm welcome.

The exhibition “300 years of charm” will remain open to the public until Saturday, May 10, 2025 during the opening hours of the Ubik bookstore.
