On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, today, December 3, 2025, we had the great pleasure of welcoming the Regional Councillor for Culture Francesca Caruso for a visit that took on a special meaning for our association.
The presence of the Councillor was an important opportunity to show how art and culture, the fields in which ARTandCHARITY O.D.V. operates daily, can become concrete tools for social support. For us, it is essential to enhance and make known the deep connection that unites our cultural initiatives with the projects we support, first and foremost the one dedicated to young people with disabilities of the Magari Domani Onlus of Gazzada Schianno.
The welcome and visit to Magari Domani Onlus
Welcoming the Councillor at the Casa Albergo in via Italia Libera were President Giovanni Tommasi, Secretary Manuela Codazzi, and volunteers Agostino Fanizzi and Mario Vittori, who accompanied the delegation throughout the morning.
The appointment was set for 9:30 and, together with them, the Councillor was guided by the director of the cooperative, Dr. Andrea Avila, to discover this fundamental place for the journey towards autonomy of the young people.

Subsequently, the visit continued at the daytime location on via Italo Cremona, the beating heart of the cooperative's daily activities. Here, the Councillor was able to closely observe the active workshops – including the carpentry shop, a true flagship – and the spaces dedicated to educational and occupational activities.

Studio 2 of Radio Village Network and the live interview
Among the rooms visited, one in particular caught everyone's attention: Studio 2 of Radio Village Network, from which every morning the students broadcast their schedule live.
The live broadcast was hosted by Matteo, who was able to coordinate the young speakers with great professionalism and sensitivity during the interview with Councillor Caruso.
The questions, carefully and curiously prepared, took the Councillor by surprise due to the students' technological competence and spontaneity, creating moments of genuine and heartfelt emotion.
The interview lasted well beyond the expected time, a sign of the involvement and the positive atmosphere created in the studio. At the end, the students enthusiastically greeted the Councillor, officially inviting her to return soon... perhaps right behind the radio microphones!
A December 3rd to remember
This day will remain in everyone's memory: for Councillor Caruso, who was able to experience firsthand a reality full of life and talent; for the students of Magari Domani, proud to showcase their skills; and for us at ARTandCHARITY O.D.V., who were able to further demonstrate how our concerts, exhibitions, and cultural events can become concrete support for valuable social projects.
An experience we hope will be repeated soon.
Who knows... maybe with a cultural show designed specifically to celebrate this special meeting.
